Phuket 16

i took damn long, like an hour i think.

to collate all these pic from over whats app, snap and cam.

so do take a while to appreciate them!!!

really not easy to put them all in chronological order especially when they are in different folders and so messed up. 

better to blog and do it now than procrastinating and this post wouldn't exist at all. 

i appreciate family trips alot more right now.

cos it wouldn't be long before we don't get any of these.

and it's getting alot harder to accomodate everyone's schedule. 

so yay. 

and this is also the first time i didn't bring my burdensome laptop along with me.

weeee.

silk air~

no tv but there was in flight entertainment through wifi by silkair.

where you get to enjoy movies etc on your phone.

much high tech.

and they have those screens on board where they show variety shows such as laugh gag without the volume.

meals on board too!

i rmb taking a pic of my food cos i wanna send it to bull but there wasn't any pics to be found. 

reached hotel after an hour because all small roads and the jam was so bad.

the rooms and view were exactly the same as what was shown on the pic.

and the bell boy showed us everything we needed to know in our room.

the kitchen and stuff. 

toilet etc.

it was sweet of them hehe.

like orientation. 

this was our room.

fully equipped kitchen, without oil.

so we can't do anything at all hahah.

a bottle of oil is too extreme for a 5 day stay.

to me it upper deck balcony but bull says its just a rooftop which was definitely a better way to describe it kekekke.

love how spacious it is even though it could be better with an outdoor pool or something.

than wasting space like that. 

but so awesome. 

to lie on sunbed lounger in your own room. 

pool + sea.

this is an amazing combo. 

who wouldn't love this.

serenity was the name of resort we stayed.

reccee abit. 

and decided this was the better place to dine in within our vicinity.

was doubtful.

but it turned out that this homely rest had great service and foood.

we waited a while for our dishes to be served.

so they gave us this which we gobbled within seconds cos we were famished. 

this was my prawn fried rice.

it was so gooood.

simple yet awesome. 

and once again, majority agreed that this was the best. 

wink wink. 

cleared.

nothing left.

so coool. 

breakkie day 1. 

it was so lousy that i took these only. 

and some veg to make it look better.

then we went to lepak by the beach.

it was so shiok.

we were there for an hour plus.

and i was doing nothing.

just lying there people watching, using my phone.

enjoying the breeeze.

totally relaxed.

SOOOO NICE.

before that we went to the beach for a while.

and this was all i could do because i can't swim hahaha. 

then after lying by the pool, my leg became like this. 

kissed by mosquitos. 

so lazy us decided to get lunch delivery.

it was nice to sit together and eat in a hotel overseas.

cos usually we are spilt into 2 rooms. 

this was my lunch.

regretted totally.

garlic and herbs.

herbs meant loads of ginger and funny looking green things. 

which i had a super hard to removing them. 

and so selfie stick put into use after lunch.

because me insist that we take pic together and send it to mega fam chat hahah.

awesomee.

fatimah then decided to make tea and coffee for everyone. 

gryphon tea okayz.

super got the feel.

and so nua and relaxed hehe. 

tea with a view at the background.

after lunch, it was pig out time.

so all of us napped.

and waited for 4pm. 

for the rented car to be delivered to our block. 

it came and daddy had a hard time putting the in car cam. 

in case anything happens,

so we left only at around 5pm. 

and gps brought us to promenthep cape.

a place that's awesome to watch sunset. 

the view was still amazing as years ago where we came with gramps.

and i didn't knew this was the name of the place.

so cool much. 

feels like i've rediscovered something new hahah.

then me was navigator C, directing daddy all the way. 

pro or what hahah. 

even though g maps but still have to keep a look out and let the driver know where to turn etc.

at a foreign country.

i am damn pro clap for me pls haha. 

then we left before the sun sets fully cos we don't wanna squeeze with everyone else otw out.

smart move i must say.

then somebody paparazi me. 

look at the position of my hands.

using phone ofc.

for what?

texting bull ofc.

got selfie pod = must take selfie la. 

so useful sia. 

can fit everyone in.

hahha.

and no frills.

don't need to hold the phone and adjust angle until so kang kor.

and not forgetting to take selfie for my bull.

but i look like a pinoy maid taking a pic.

so we took a drive back and chance upon this place for dinz.

MOOKATA twice in a week.

faints.

it loooks fresher than the one i went in SG.

but still doubtful.

and loads of cooked food which i didn't eat at all. 

except nuggets and fries cos i was so hungry.

it was cool cos they used charcoal for the grill.

but the fan was not facing us so daddy and me weere soaked in sweat,

super duper warm and smelly.

i ate mostly scallops.

they were the better ones out of all other seafoods. 

then we headed back to hotel.

and went up to the balcony for wifi.

and to talk to bull.

then realised that the night sky was filled with stars.

day 3 started with some random breakfast again.

the choices were really crappy.

but since it was just breakfast then anything. 

my itinerary.

to old phuket town. 

it was very similar to tiong bahru where there were loads and loads of cafe. 

this was the cafe that was recommended.

we went to the sister cafe at first.

which had a better cafe vibe. 

then daddy walked 2 shops down.

and found this.

which was the main branch with air con.

just what we needed for a scorching weather.

i didn't realised they had a list of signature dishes.

but wellz.

me being me, whatever i ordered was under signatures!

hot thai milk tea.

it was so damn sweet omg. 

mine.

it was such a unique combination.

even though it was just luo han guo and chrysanthemum tea. 

and courting death drinking this while aunt flo visists.

smart or what.

but it felt so good on a scorching day like that.

pad thai was sis's and basically everyone else's.

3 of the same choice, just that different intensity of spicy-ness.

lame.

normal flavour i think.

but i think mum and dad loved it cos it was so spicy.

mine.

BKT and hokkien style noodle.

it looks normal but the sauce was good and the pork was so tender.

the soup wasn't that herby but still not bad.

and so and then we passed by the toilet before the meal was served.

and something smelt so nice.

then we saw these on a tray and ordered it.

banana fritters.

i thought it was not bad cos sg fritters were with bread crumbs and this was more of a tempura kinda batter. 

very fluffy. and not so dense. 

one of the museums with rich history but need pay so neh.

this was some colonial building if i'm not mistaken. 

it just looks very classical.

走着走着就发现了一家百货公司.

and found this massage place.

and since we had time to kill, and they had enough staff, we had our massage. 

i like how classy it was but the prices were okay.

before we began our massage.

they washed our feet.

and scrubbed with some sea salt.

so niceeeee. 

and whao this pic makes me look less of a fatty.

AMAZING.

afterwhich, we headed to the night market.

at 4pm.

and spent around an hour there. 

thinking that dinner was supposed to be here.

so we walked and checked out everything carefully before deciding on what to buy.

but some people apparently aren't interested in it.

so we ended up going round and round looking for another place for dinz.

this was the only thing i bought there.

otherwise, i wouldn't have spent any $. 

found my fav meatballs at the market.

but.

then it was so warm and we were so sweaty, so we bought thai milk and green tea.

yum yumz. 

and the owner of the store was so nice and friendly.

dinner place after years of going round.

but thankfully we were still full from night market.

and so this was for 5 of us.

and we had in case in the room so yeah.

in case cos i ended up being very hunglee.

birdday sarprise a success!

very traditional cake.

nice nice. 

over breakkie, daddy told us there was a see saw at the end of the beach.

so we decided to check it out.

he said it was built by those fisherman.

so, we expected a see saw in the middle of nowhere smacked by the beach.

then he pointed at this and we were like...that's a swing dad. -.-

nevertheless, all of us took turns on this swing it was so fun.

hehehe. 

me was too fat and afraid that branches might pijiak.

so i had the swing to myself.

it felt so cooling and cool and different cos this was a natural swing.

love it kekkee.

see what the wind did to my hair.

holding portable, phone and another phone on my hands.

replying messages while playing.

his efforts were A plus mine would be A plus to the skies. 

it was low tide so i walked out to the beach.

and found many creatures and shells and all. 

it was so fun i love it.

and the wind was awesome.

even though it was sunny af. 

walking cautiously, using phone yet eenjoying myself.

it was so lovely. 

that was followed by showering and we left the hotel without nua-ing.

AMAZING.

headed to the big buddha.

where we climbed up the mountain and reached the peak.

very cooling but very warm too. 

and cos me was too sexy for the place, they wrapped me up.

and mummy kept emphasizing that i look like i was from taiwan.

i do like this a lottle.

it was quite cool hahhaa.

the big buddha, was really huge and magnificent.

this was not my first visit but it still wowzers me.

and it was all made up of tiles which people donated.

and whereever you went in phuket, you could see this white figure overlooking the entire island.

cool much.

just look at how steep it was. 

dad drove the car like arcade, changing gear every now and then.

and the car sucks i think.

the suspension was like weak and it felt that the car could have rolled of the slopes, whether up or down hill. 

after big buddha, we went for lunch along karon/patong beach.

thai food again.

i had stir fried glass noodles.

and they placed so much green stuff in it i had a horrible time eating and picking it out.

then then we headed back to the hotel, where they refused to listen to me the navigator.

and geh kiang.

and ended up re routing.

de touring.

so we reached the hotel. 

and nua life starts. (:

they would pick up the rental car at 4pm so we had plenty of time.

first we lepak at the roof, but it was SO HOT at 3pm. 

and it wasn't that cooling.

so i gave up and went back to my room.

there, i had a good 1 hour nap.

which was very rare for me since 15 mins of nap was good enough for me.

whaooo it felt so damn gooood.

didn't gave a damn about anything and just ko.

doorbell rang also dc.

footsteps outside my room also dc.

just sleeeep.

shiok. 

then daddy wanted massage again.

so we headed opp our hotel.

and for the first time ever, i had foot massage lying down.

and the person cracked and jumped on my back for lasst 10 mins as usual.

i could only say: ooo and ahhh".

dinner was back at this homely rest.

since there was nothing much around our area, this was our best pick.

we had 4 meals here, out of our 7 meals.

quite madness but each time we ordered different stuff and we haven't covered half of their menu yet.

they had such an extensive menu from western to thai and everything you wanted. 

previously was fries.

now it was some yummylicious bread and suace. 

yum yum yum.

i love how they serve such mini appetizers to curb a little of your hunger first.

this time round, we ordered dishes with rice to go with.

we were so famished that we wiped out everything.

it was differ frm our usual thai fare, but not bad given the limited choices we had. 

dessert!

the ice cream was yum yum.

have been eating cheap ice cream but they were nice. 

weird taste buds but okay.

kang kong.

salty but nevertheless yummmm.

like har cheong kai.

we ordered 2 plates of this.

not bad not bad.

egg tofu.

mum cooks better but okay la.

i didn't knew this had so much greeneries on it. 

eww.

we were left with red ruby that we didn't ate.

but they didn't serve it here.

it was so fun taking the back reverse seat, going up hill and down hill. 

like a mini roller coaster simulator.

the view i had or say, the view they had when i'm being watched like an animal,

as i spoke to bull on phone.

and at the same time getting alot super alot of mosquito kisses.

and feeling so warm and crusty after the entire day out.

finishing up the snacks we bought.

and sleeping only 4hrs. 

early flight the next morning.

crazy and tired are us.

but waking up and watching this.

it lifted up and took away some of my tiredness.

6am in the morning.

this for breakkie.

it looks and sounds crazy, but if someone can deliver and make it why not.

deliver pizza at 6am for me, i would gladly eat it.

this was the newly renovated airpork.

SUN SEA PLACE.

this is the best of 3 worlds.

couldn't get enough of this view.

so awesome really.

it's very entertaining to watch things happening on land when you are high up above.

me is amazed 100% and every single time, no matter how many times i take the plane.

they nv fail to make my jaws drop.

plane food.

ppl say plane food sucks.

i say plane food rocks.

i love plane food for some reasons.

even though they say our tastebuds changes etc.

i love it.

the way the sensory panelist and team and whoever who got down to create this meal on board for all of us, it was wonderful. 

3 things i look forward on a plane ride, taking off, food, landing.

maybe i haven't tried plane food from lousy airlines, but all have been not bad.

i wouldn't mind having 2 servings of these hehehe. 

grab 6 seater.

was crazy.

this kinda 6 seater, were exactly what those k pop stars sat in.

ya know ya know???

it was all wowzers when we saw the car.

and we were so eggcited.

macham limo siol.

it doesn't look that huge on the exterior but the interior was so spacious.

and with that, our trip ended and i went off on a date with someone who missed me.

and i didn't even get to nap.

tired like dog.

was literally dragging myself to walkkkk.
